We have not built a strawbale house, nor lived in one, but I am attracted to sustainable, alternative housing and fascinated by strawbale homes particularly. The Internet is a wonderful feeder of dreamers like I. I am going to be using this new portion of my blog.rawgenesis to look at the strawbale building movement. Please be my guest if you have actually built (or are building) a strawbale house and comment-- if you want to be a 'guest blogger' I would be happy to move over and let you go at it!

For anyone who is interested in actually taking part in a strawbale building project, strawbale building master,
Andrew Morrison, (photo right->) will be conducting his
final 2009 workshop (hands-on building) in the Zuni Mountains of New Mexico in early September (2009) for a week. This is a beautiful region of the United States with old volcanoes, Native American history,
caves, hiking and much more. If you want to sign up for this workshop, please go
here for more information (or click on the Zuni Mtns. below)
